General Information
All Morpholino orders must be placed using either the online order form, or the fax order form. The majority of the orders are shipped within two weeks

While Gene Tools provides extensive customer support by telephone because of the potential for errors in the entry of sequence information we do NOT accept orders by telephone

Orders submitted online are the easiest to process, as they are already in digital format. However, orders may also be placed by downloading the order form, filling it out, and faxing it to Gene Tools, LLC. This order form is a PDF document.

Alternatively, the form may be requested:
  • by FAX: (541) 929-7841
  • by phone: (541) 929-7840
  • or by mail: (find our address at the bottom of the page)

Researchers in Japan may order Morpholino oligos and related products from Funakoshi Co., using Funakoshi's order form, or from Gene Tools directly.

Shipping and Handling Charges
Effective 1 January 2003, a handling charge of $15 applies to all orders.

Shipment to US addresses is done, at the customer's option, by 2-day FedEx or FedEx Overnight, and will be billed accordingly at the rates listed on our then-current price list.

All International orders are billed for International priority shipping at the rate listed on our then-current price list, and we ask that international customers provide us with their FedEx account number for charging any duties, taxes, and/or tariffs their order incurs. Please inform us on your order form of any relevant VAT exemptions.

Payment
  • Billing Procedures
    • Customers in the United States of America will be billed for the total of their ordered products plus shipping and a $15 handling fee.

    • Customers outside of the United States will be billed for the total of their ordered products plus International Priority shipping and a $15 handling fee. In addition, they are responsible for paying any duties, tariffs or taxes incurred from their order.

Credit cards will be pre-authorized when the order is processed but will not be charged until shipment.

Email is not secure. Do NOT provide credit card information by email; it will NOT be accepted.
  • Tariffs and Taxes
  • International customers will be responsible for tariffs and taxes imposed on each shipment by the customer's country. Customers will be billed directly by FedEx for said tariffs and taxes. For this reason, we request that international customers provide their FedEx Account Number when they place their order.

In regard to tariffs and taxes, the Harmonized System # for our Morpholino oligos is: 2934.99.9000. This number corresponds to "Nucleic acids and their salts, whether or not chemically defined; Other heterocyclic compounds; Aromatic or modified aromatic; Other" and is used by all countries for assessing tariffs and taxes. To find out what tariffs and taxes will be imposed on your order you should contact your country's import agency and provide them with this Harmonized System number.
    Disclaimer
While our and others experience indicate that Morpholino oligos typically outperform other antisense structural types by a wide margin, nonetheless, because of the great variability among genes and cells, Gene Tools makes no warranty as to the performance of either Gene Tools-designed or customer-selected Morpholino oligos in any given biological system.
